An artist. Passionate about all areas of art, but specifically drawn (no pun intended) to illustration. I find peace and comfort with a pen and sketchbook. Ever since I was a child, all I wanted to be when I grew up was an artist. I studied Graphic Design and Studio Art Mount Mary University. And currently work from my home studio doing freelance and personal art endeavors.
Along the journey, I've discovered many things about the world and myself and my place in the world. One important thing I've found was my extreme attention to detail and my extreme need to observe things and learn through my eyes. This has been the biggest eye-opener (pun intended) for me on my travels through the world so far. Because of this, I have developed a strong attraction to good design. Good design is an extremely broad category that can be defined differently by different minds. One thing it is to me is basic building blocks for everything that makes our society work. Design is behind everything and when we really take time to notice, analyze and appreciate it, we will find our lives begin to change for the better.
This newfound appreciation for design and its impact on virtually everything lead me to add a Graphic Design major to my academic pursuits. My goals for after college are mighty scattered and anything but concrete, but they are existent. I hope to travel a lot and gain as much knowledge as I can about the world. I plan to be anything but static. As far as a dream job, I think that would be me creating meaningful art that reflects my vision of the world and how it relates to the people of this world-not for people to like or dislike, but to encourage meaningful thought and dialog among humans.
